Randomly waking up when trying to sleep is annoying. More annoying when I forget where I am!

Today my step-daddy forgot he had opened up one of his non-alcoholic beers (ews) and so after dinner my mother pointed it out. He thought he would be really super cool and chug it in the kitchen, so he lifted it up to his mouth and chugged. And then it fizzed everywhere and he got it all over himself and had to spit it out in the sink. Then he spent the next five minutes, dripping it all over the kitchen floor, laughing hysterically. His laugh is a mixture between a jolly Irishman and the doctor from The Simpsons. It was pretty brilliant. And entirely refreshing that he could laugh at himself.

He also was like "you haven't seen it here (meaning this house, not Montana) in the winter have you?" and my response was, "I was here in the winter when I lived here." He looked confused so I said, "remember? I lived here for like six months?" More confusion. "I worked at Pizza Hut?" "OH YEAH!" To be fair to him, that was eight years ago, just before I moved to Australia! I thought it was amusing. He doesn't even eat Pizza Hut. Wouldn't go near it, so I don't know why that jogged his memory!

Tomorrow lots of people are coming for Racism Day lunch/dinner. It'll be nice to see most of them since I haven't in a long time. I usually miss them when I visit, even though they live in Helena. I hope to be incredibly interesting and witty. But I'll settle for Not Asleep.

Soon I will be able to watch the new ep of American Horror Story. I am excite! That'll put me back to sleep, surely. Right? RIGHT?!

The LFoD continues to be hilarious.

Luke: "Tequila is the Devil's urine."
Leah: "I love it when the devil pisses on me then!"

And that is all you get because I am still miffed at the world.

So, last night we went to see Black Swan and it was awesome and messed up. And then, just now, Alison said THIS.

Alison: "Last night I had this dream, and I don't remember all of it. It was like Black Swan and I woke up like :|. But all I remember is that Rupert Grint was the Red Swan."

And I just laughed so hard my lungs hurt. Again. :D Imagining that movie with Ron Weasley instead of Natalie Portman is just...hilarious.

Alison was supposed to go to bed but she just came out here to get a drink and there is no way that we could possibly ever explain the conversation that just occurred between us, but it was epic hilarity though it was the kind where you had to be there and now my stomach hurts from laughing. It was pure ridiculousness and we both laughed so hard, and I feel like I might vomit.

And then I thought, "you know what? I think I feel like this at least once a day." I think living in a house where you laugh so hard you think you might vomit at least once a day is pretty damn awesome, no matter what else is going on in my messed up little world.

Long live the LFoD and all it's denizens, past and present!

EDIT: For more examples of why the LFoD is the greatest place on Earth, I present Alison's Overheard in the LFoD tag in her journal which is chock full of hilarity and quotes.

My head hurts from laughing.

Watched Tim Minchin's Enough Rope interview on Youtube. It's in 3 parts (the first part is here if you are interested and the other parts you can get to on the side menu) and he is adorbs when he talks about his wife. "Sarah's nice, I like her". His views on religion are much like my brother's too. They do seem really alike in their wit, which makes me adore Tim all the more.

ANYWAY then I had banana cake that Laura made. And then this happened because Laura and Leah are watching The Fifth Element.

Me: "GARY OLDMANNNN! It's okay he's annoying in this movie."
Laura: "He's in this movie? Who is he?"
Me: "The bad guy."
Laura: "...I thought Gary Oldman was short. And black."
Leah: "...that's Gary Colman"

Cue me nearly choking on my cake.

The LFoD is a wonderful house full of slightly insane people and a truly insane feline. Said feline will leap around the room in seconds, sprint through the living room and jump off the couch ala The Matrix and then roll on the ground and demand pets. She's adorable, slightly demented, and not all that brilliantly bright. She had a treat on her leg for twenty minutes today and didn't notice it. But she's my darling. And yesterday Alison showed me a comic that reminded me of her so much.

ExpandComic behind cut because it's HUGE apparently )

That face in the final frame is SO Ariadne! Wolveradne!

And that's my cray-cray girl!

Right, so like...back when I was getting my hair dyed in a salon, I put a reminder on my Barbie Dream Phone (called thus because it is Barbie Dream Pink) that would let me know when 5 weeks had passed so I would book in. I have since forgotten to take it OFF my phone, since it usually would go off at 9am and usually at 9am I have the phone off. Like a frickin' genius, I titled this reminder 'remember' because I didn't know what to call it and I felt too pressured to come up with something clever, okay!? Today, however, totally made up for it when I woke up to the damn thing going off and then it read:

'Remember' Remember: 5th November - Hair Dye Appt.

Which...you know...is less poetic than gunpowder, treason and plot, but it made my morning. I may have snorted so loud it hurt my nose...

Soon I'll blog about how last night was like the Best Night Ever, but I have to go deal with passports first. :D

On a lighter note, if you want hours of fun, here's a game what plays music! Bill Bailey had one of these at his stand up show in Christchurch! Of course, his wasn't on a computer. He had someone put their hand on it and it played a song. It was awesome.
