I got the second part of my loan finally. Six class weeks before the end of the year, but at least that means all the work I have done this year wasn't for nothing!

We have been watching Star Trek: The Original Series and it is awesome. Even if the 60s-era misogyny is rampant. I love Bones, Spock and Kirk. They are so in a three-way relationship.

Mexican food and The Trip last night was awesome too! I love Rob Brydon and Steve Coogan! They are brilliant together. And now I want to watch A Cock and Bull Story again sometime! Their banter is the best thing about it. Their banter and Dylan Moran hanging with Gillian Anderson.

Since I had slept basically the entire weekend, I was up yesterday for 24 hours. So the last 45 minutes or so of the movie was hard to stay awake for, but I'm so glad I didn't fall asleep. And not just because no one needs to hear my great honking snores. I would have been so sad to miss it.

Sometime this week I need to start my law essay and make an appointment to get my prescription renewed. But things are looking up, even if I am still really tired. And soon there will be curry! :D And then I will eat more of my giant dinosaur-lolly from Laura!

..last night I had a dream Neil Gaiman was my dad. It was awesome. Even if, for ONCE, I wish I could not have a lucid dream. Strangely, being aware that your dreams aren't real even as you dream them is kind of tiring.

artemisofluna: (I love Wil to the Wheaton)

In case anyone was wondering? this is why I love Wil Wheaton so hardcore.

There is a tree near my house, that has probably been there for years, just doing its tree thing, watching patiently as families come and go, empires rise and fall, and Isengard is flooded. I'm sure it's a beautiful tree, cheerfully trading carbon dioxide for oxygen, providing shade, and most likely supporting several birds and squirrels. It's a lovely tree, I'm sure ... but I hate that motherfucker because I am super allergic to whatever pollen or voodoo or evil waves of itching sneezing bullshit it emits. I've seen doctors and witch doctors and oracles and psychics* about it, and all anyone's been able to do for me is suggest I take an antihistimine (Oh? Really? Thanks, medical professionals! I never would have thought of that on my own!) and ... well, that's just about all I can do, so just pay the receptionist on your way out, Wil.

His written word and my inner monologue? They match. All I could think reading that is that it sounds exactly like something I would say. And I couldn't stop laughing.

Because I think I am the funniest person on the planet. It's really true.

I slept from 7 pm until 4 am and now it is 8 am and I can't sleep any more :| Stupid WEIRD BODY SLEEP CLOCK VIRUS THING! But I wrote a bunch. Made me happy :D

Went to see Sherlock Holmes again last night because APPARENTLY Melbourne is a city of child movie haters and The Princess and the Frog wasn't playing ANYWHERE I could get to without my car. And brilliant me, I took the train yesterday. Foo. So plans changed, and I'm going this weekend because I.Must.See.It.

So tired. Fell asleep watching Star Trek. Oh how I love...everyone on that show. Except the horrible Dr Pulaski. Stupid season 2. GET OVER WITH SO I CAN HAVE MY REDHEADED DOCTOR BACK! Pulaski can go suck a phaser for SRS.

Now I'm at work and I'm updating business processes and training people which ALWAYS puts me to frickin' sleep (BUT I DO LOVE MY JOB - NO SARCASM). So I'm rocking the caffeine hard and trying to decide what to write but there's so many things to choose from and when I'm overtired and caffinated my mind finds it really hard to make a decision, so instead I sit for HOURS AND HOURS AND HOURS TRYING TO DECIDE until I'm too tired and fall asleep.

Stupid...illogical mind. WHY CAN'T I BE A VULCAN?

I love latte.

And Noel Fielding.
